Pesticide-Free Lawn Initiative:

Inspired by Connecticut Towns such as Plainville, Cheshire, and Granby using organic gardening practices on town properties, FRWA has launched a pesticide-free lawn initiative. Our efforts are two-fold; to educate homeowners and businesses about the dangers of synthetic pesticide and herbicide uses and to maintain a growing list of home and business owner properties that refuse to use these dangerous and lethal chemicals.

If you are interested in learning about the dangers of synthetic lawn chemicals and how to make your lawn "green" naturally, please peruse our links and informational flyers listed below. If you don't use pesticides on your lawn, or are going to stop now, sign our pledge below. So far we have 16 pledges with a total of 47.84 acres! Happy Gardening!

Attend NOFA'sAnnual Lawn and Turf Course. These one day intensive courses in organic turf management are offered in CT, MA, RI and NY!
